The community is coming out in droves with offers of help for the Putnam County Sheriff's deputy who was seriously injured during a call.
The unidentified sheriff's deputy was stabbed while investigating a disturbance in the Town of Putnam Valley around 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 20 in Putnam Valley,
Since then, the department said it has been thankful for the generosity from the community, with residents asking, "What can we do to help him?"
"Luckily our deputy has his family and friends rallying around him and he is being well taken care of by them and by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department PBA," the department said.
For those who would like to send contributions, the PBA always welcomes help.
